She cares as much about social justice as she does about homemaking, she has a voice and she isn’t afraid to use it.
The modern muslimah isn’t afraid to wear the hijab, and she isn’t about to apologise for it either. She integrates the grand history of Islam into a contemporary western lifestyle, without sacrificing the integrity of the Deen
The company was launched in 2005 and specialises in an extensive range of designer clothing for stylish Muslim women. We have a gorgeous selection of “Islamic chic styles” which include head wear, formal and casual wear, evening wear, outdoor wear and also maternity wear we also cater for plus sizes. We work closely with the famous company “Tekbir” and are the only sole distributors here in the UK.
Our aim is to consider the importance of modesty and apply this to our unique designs. Contextually, we must define what it is “modesty” does: Modesty in Islam is complex; it isn’t confined to just the cloth that covers a body, but also the attitudes, interactions and interpersonal relationships that govern relationships with one another and with the creator. Modesty is both an intrapersonal and interpersonal practice.
We at Modern Muslimahs are interested in the aesthetics of clothing-and moving from the bare bones of “clothing and dress” to “fashioning”-which is what we can call these new “Islamic chic styles”
